I was 19 when I became a GLOW girl and I remember calling my dad for his advice, and he highly encouraged me to do it. I remember him telling me that ‘20 years from now when you’ve raised your family you will one day look back and realize that you had an adventure of a lifetime.’
Village Voice catches up with GLOW girl Angelina Altishin, known as Little Egypt, to talk about the new documentary, GLOW: The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, playing at 92YTribeca on Saturday. She is now a successful real estate agent and fondly looks back on her time in (and out) of the ring. She’ll be doing a Q&A at the screening with GLOW girl Gremlina and GLOW writer/referee Steve Blance.
