NBC Nightly News anchor was interviewed by Jonathan Tisch, chairman of Loews Hotels, on Wednesday night at 92Y. (Read what TVNewser had to say.)
In the clip here, Williams talks about covering Katrina, Newtown, and advice he doesn’t give his daughter, who graduated from Yale. (Williams has 18 college credits.) On Katrina, “almost a human rights failure,” he told Tisch:
“Katrina offended me. It meant that every president from Lyndon Johnson on had either lied to me or had been betrayed by public policy.”
