1. 92Y Culture Klatsch Q&A With Michael Tully

Michael Tully is the head writer/editor of Hammer to Nail, which is a co-presenter of this month’s installment of 92YTribeca’s Beer Goggles series – movies that get even better after you’ve had a few. February’s theme is One Man Armies, featuring screenings of the films Hard Target and Invasion U.S.A. When Michael isn’t busy with Hammer to Nail, he’s also a filmmaker. He directed the films Septien and Silver Jew.

Where do you go for news when you start your day?
I confess to heading to CNN.com first thing in the morning, as they tend to report the most obvious catastrophes or incidents that let me know if anything major happened during the night.

What are your favorite websites?
As dangerous as Twitter is, it has become an invaluable RSS feed of sorts to guide me to stories, articles, and websites that I might not have frequented otherwise; honestly, this question has become an increasingly more difficult one to answer considering my dependence/reliance on both Twitter and Facebook. I feel like the way I bounce around the internet is dictated by links provided on those sites, as opposed to checking my own trusted scroll of sites each morning.

How much do you use Twitter and Facebook (or other social networking services)?
See above.
